In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, Chodavaram Police in Anakapalli district seized 276 kg of ganja worth Rs13.75 lakh and arrested three individuals on Monday.
Anakapalli Superintendent of Police Tuhin Sinha, addressing the media, stated that the seizure followed a tip-off received by the local team. Acting swiftly, Chodavaram Inspector P. Appala Raju, along with Sub-Inspectors B. Naga Kartik and B. Jogarao, conducted a targeted operation and intercepted the vehicle transporting the contraband.
The team discovered neatly packed ganja in the vehicle, which was promptly seized along with the transport vehicles involved.
Three accused were arrested at the scene:

Police have also identified three others involved in the operation who are currently absconding:

DSP Shravani of Anakapalli sub-division confirmed that special teams have been formed to trace and apprehend the remaining accused.
