DEARBORN COUNTY, Ind. —
A Cincinnati man has been charged with multiple felony drug offenses after an extensive investigation into methamphetamine distribution in Dearborn County, officials announced.

Troy Thomas, 38, has been charged with three counts of Dealing in Methamphetamine (Level 2 Felonies) and a Habitual Offender Sentencing Enhancement, according to the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office.

If convicted, Thomas faces 10 to 30 years in prison on the dealing charge, plus an additional six to 20 years under the enhancement. He is currently held in the Dearborn County Jail on a $1 million cash bond.

The investigation began in early 2025, when detectives with the Special Crimes Unit launched a probe into meth distribution. Officers conducted multiple controlled purchases from Thomas, totaling over 111 grams of suspected methamphetamine.

Thomas was arrested Wednesday after being observed driving through the county. Deputies later detained him at a known Greendale location where he allegedly sold narcotics. At the time of his arrest, he was found with approximately 117.9 grams of suspected methamphetamine.

Investigators said Thomas has been distributing large quantities of meth in Dearborn County for several years and has a lengthy criminal history in Hamilton County, Ohio, including prior aggravated robbery, weapons, and drug trafficking convictions.

The case remains under investigation by the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office Special Crimes Unit.
