Troy, NY — Detectives from the Troy Police Department’s Special Operations Section arrested a man after executing a high-risk search warrant in the city’s North Central neighborhood. The operation, conducted on Thursday, April 3, 2025, around 9 PM, was part of an ongoing investigation into illegal drug activity.
The search led to the discovery of a significant quantity of psilocybin, an illegal hallucinogenic drug. The resident of the property, 29-year-old Khayere Mullins-Wright, was arrested on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Mullins-Wright was arraigned the following day and released to probation. The Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office is handling the prosecution of the case.
