Troy, NY — A coordinated operation by local and federal law enforcement agencies led to the arrest of a Troy man and the seizure of six firearms during a series of search warrants executed early Friday morning.
The Troy Police Department’s Emergency Response Team, with support from Colonie Police Department’s Special Services Team, conducted two court-ordered searches at 362 2nd Street and 335 1st Street in South Troy around 7 AM.
The operation was part of an ongoing drug and weapon investigation involving the Troy PD Special Operations Section, Watervliet PD Detectives, and the DEA-Albany Task Force.
Evidence technicians seized six illegally-possessed firearms, a bulletproof vest, and more than $20,000 in U.S. currency.
Anderrious Perry, a 44-year-old Troy resident, was arrested at the scene. He faces charges of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree due to a prior felony conviction.
Perry was processed at Troy PD’s Central Station and arraigned in Troy City Court before being remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail.
The investigation is ongoing, with prosecution handled by the Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office.
