MIAMI, FL – Love & Hip Hop: Miami star Benjamin Leon Kearse Jr., better known as Swurv, and husband of rapper Trina, was arrested on March 20 in connection to a battery case from 2023.
According to police reports obtained by TMZ Hip Hop, the incident dates back to July 2023, when a man claimed he was crossing the street when Kearse’s black Dodge Charger abruptly stopped at a stop sign, causing the pedestrian’s hand to hit the trunk of the car.
The man told police that Kearse, 34, called out to him and became aggressive when he approached the vehicle to explain. Kearse allegedly followed the man to a nearby residence, where he punched him multiple times, resulting in a fractured nose.
Authorities later reviewed surveillance footage of the altercation and confirmed the victim’s statement was consistent with the evidence.
Following an investigation, police arrested Kearse and booked him at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
Trina, who married Kearse in May 2024, has not yet commented on the arrest. With their first anniversary approaching, it remains unclear how this case might affect their celebration plans.
