Gainesville Man Arrested After Hall County Drug Investigation

A Gainesville man, Travis O’Neal Willis, 43, is being held without bond in the Hall County Jail following a two-month investigation into drug activity. The Hall County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit began probing suspected drug sales at a residence on Shag Bark Trail near Poplar Springs Road in July.

After gathering sufficient evidence, investigators obtained a search warrant and conducted a raid on the property on September 8. Authorities seized 249 grams of cocaine, 95 Alprazolam tablets, digital scales, $1,655 in cash, and a 9mm pistol. The estimated street value of the narcotics is approximately $25,375.

Willis was arrested on September 23 at a location on Atlanta Highway and faces charges including trafficking in cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule IV drugs, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
