Shreveport, La. – A Shreveport man was taken into custody on Tuesday after allegedly attacking the mother of his child, leaving her with severe injuries, according to police.
Officers responded to a domestic disturbance call around 4:30 p.m. in the 2800 block of Westover Road, where they found the victim sitting on the front porch, visibly injured.
The woman told police she had gone to Travez Clark’s residence on South Greenbrook Loop to pick up their 11-year-old son when Clark, 33, confronted her outside. According to the victim, Clark pushed her, grabbed her by the neck, and slammed her head into a fence rail.
Authorities noted visible injuries, including a bruise on the bridge of her nose and a red scratch on her neck and collarbone. Surveillance footage confirmed the attack took place at approximately 12:56 p.m.
Medical professionals later determined the victim had suffered a fractured nasal bone, subdural bleeding, and subarachnoid bleeding in her brain.
Clark was arrested and charged with domestic abuse battery with a dangerous weapon involving serious bodily injury.
