LEWISTON — A Clarkston woman was arrested over the 4th of July weekend after Lewiston Police allegedly found 28.9 grams of methamphetamine concealed on her during a traffic stop.
Officers stopped a black Ford Escape in the El Sombrero parking lot around 9:18 p.m., after recognizing Traci A. Martin, 45, at a nearby gas station. A warrant check confirmed she had a felony warrant for failure to appear out of Ada County.
Martin was arrested on the outstanding warrant. During a search, she reportedly admitted to having contraband hidden in her pants, which turned out to be a bag containing a crystalized substance that tested positive for methamphetamine. Police weighed the substance at 28.9 grams, triggering a trafficking charge under Idaho law.
Officers also found two glass pipes with burn residue inside the vehicle. Martin admitted the drug paraphernalia belonged to her, resulting in additional charges.
She was transported to the Nez Perce County Jail, where her bond was set at $70,000.
