Toronto Police have arrested one suspect and are actively searching for a second in connection with a theft in East York.
The incident occurred on May 14, 2025, around 3:00 p.m., near Woodbine Avenue and O’Connor Drive. According to investigators, the victim was approached by two men while walking in the area. During the interaction, the suspects allegedly stole the victim’s watch and fled the scene.
Police confirmed the arrest of 32-year-old Ovidiu Alexandru of Toronto, who faces charges of theft over $5,000. The second suspect remains at large and was last seen wearing a dark-coloured shirt.
Authorities urge anyone with information about the second suspect or the incident to contact Toronto Police immediately.
