TORONTO — Christian Roshi, 22, was arrested on May 22 as part of a human trafficking investigation and now faces more than 20 criminal charges.
Police launched the investigation in April 2025 after learning that Roshi allegedly trafficked a female victim from their shared neighborhood. Over approximately three months, Roshi is accused of using deception, coercion, and threats to force the woman into sex trafficking across Ontario.
Authorities say all earnings from the trafficking activities were handed over to Roshi. In addition to charges of trafficking in persons by recruiting and exercising control, Roshi faces assault with a weapon, uttering threats causing bodily harm, probation breach, firearms-related offenses, and drug possession charges.
Roshi was scheduled to appear in court on the Friday following his arrest. Police have released his image, expressing concern that there may be more victims linked to this case and urging anyone with information to come forward.
