TEHAMA COUNTY, Calif. — Tony Edison has been sentenced to five years and four months in state prison after pleading guilty to three felony charges, according to the Tehama County District Attorney’s Office.
Edison admitted guilt in February to first-degree robbery and two felony counts of receiving stolen vehicles. The charges stem from a robbery that occurred in Tehama County in 2023.
Prosecutors said Edison and Eric Cotton attempted to break into a home, held the victim at gunpoint, and stole the victim’s phones, keys, and vehicle.
Deputies later spotted the stolen car and initiated a high-risk traffic stop near Rolling Hills Casino. During the stop, the driver rammed the vehicle into a sergeant’s patrol car.
Both Edison and Cotton were transported to a hospital for treatment before being booked into jail.
