Tommy Poole Arrested for Government Bomb Threat in Mississippi

27-year-old Grenada man charged with terroristic threat

GRENADA, MS — A Grenada man has been arrested in Northeast Mississippi after allegedly threatening to bomb a government agency.

Tommy Poole, 27, was taken into custody last week and charged with making a terroristic threat following an investigation by local authorities.

According to police reports, on July 17, officers from the Tupelo Police Department responded to a call on Saddle Creek Drive after receiving reports of a violent threat. Investigators found that a recorded message contained specific and alarming threats targeting a government entity.

Poole was arrested shortly afterward. Authorities confirmed that his bond was set at $25,000. No further details about the nature of the targeted agency or the motive behind the threat have been released at this time.

The case remains under investigation.
