Todd McIntyre Charged in $400K Embezzlement Case

Ex-GM accused of stealing from Livonia sports complex

LIVONIA, Mich. (WXYZ) — A Novi man has been charged with embezzling more than $400,000 from a Livonia sports complex, according to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office.

Todd McIntyre, 28, was the general manager of the Livonia Athletic District and is accused of carrying out the embezzlement over a period of more than two years, from July 2022 through October 2024. He was terminated from his position on October 16, 2024.

McIntyre now faces a felony charge of Embezzlement – $100,000 or More, a serious offense under Michigan law.

During a hearing in 16th District Court on Thursday, a not-guilty plea was entered on McIntyre’s behalf. The judge set bond at $750,000, with 10% cash-surety required for release.

A probable cause conference has been scheduled for July 10, followed by a preliminary hearing on July 17.

The investigation into the missing funds is ongoing.
