MOBILE, Ala. —
Authorities in Mobile, Alabama, have arrested Todd Bond after a series of package thefts in the area.

Bond is charged with first-degree theft of property and was booked into the Mobile County Metro Jail Friday morning.

The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies spotted a black Ford Escape connected to reported thefts traveling at high speed around 1 a.m. Friday. During a traffic stop, deputies found several packages in the vehicle matching the descriptions of previously reported stolen items.

Earlier in the week, authorities had released video footage of the alleged porch pirate and requested public assistance in identifying the suspect. Law enforcement also found several packages originating from Mississippi in Bond’s possession.
