WARSAW, Poland — French urban climber Titouan Leduc, 24, was arrested after scaling 230 meters of the Varso Tower, the tallest skyscraper in the European Union, in a breathtaking but illegal climb.
Leduc, renowned for his fearless free-climbing feats, aimed to reach the top of the 310-meter tower, including its 80-meter antenna. The Varso Tower, dominating Warsaw’s skyline, has become a hotspot for thrill-seekers and urban climbers.
Before beginning his ascent, Leduc reportedly shouted his motto, “Victory or death,” highlighting his commitment to “buildering” — climbing urban structures without ropes or permission. Spectators gathered below, filming as he carefully navigated the glass and steel façade. The videos quickly went viral on social media.
Authorities intervened before Leduc could reach the summit, arresting him on charges of trespassing and endangering public safety. Despite the legal repercussions, many online praised his skill and daring spirit.
Though his Warsaw climb ended in custody, Leduc’s reputation as one of Europe’s most audacious urban climbers remains firmly intact.
