LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A Lincoln man was arrested in connection with multiple robbery incidents alongside his brother, according to court documents.
30-year-old Timothy Yankton faces charges of robbery after a string of violent thefts at Lincoln convenience and grocery stores. The series of incidents began on March 23 at a Casey’s store near 25th and O streets. Police say Timothy and his brother, 33-year-old Guno Yankton, were seen concealing bottles of alcohol. When confronted, Guno allegedly pushed an employee by the neck, causing her to fall.
The following day, on March 24, the pair reportedly targeted a Hy-Vee store near North 50th and O streets. When store staff confronted them in the wine and spirits section, Guno assaulted an employee, and both fled the scene.
On March 25, officers responded again to the same Casey’s after another reported robbery. This time, Guno attempted to steal alcohol while Timothy acted as a lookout. When confronted, Guno allegedly brandished a knife and threatened to stab a store clerk, according to the documents.
Timothy Yankton was arrested and had his bond set at 10% of $10,000. His next court appearance is scheduled for May 28.
Meanwhile, Guno Yankton is also in custody, facing multiple charges, including assault and armed robbery.
