SCOTLAND COUNTY, N.C. — A man and woman were arrested over the weekend in connection with a shooting in Scotland County.
Timothy Lacy Locklear, 22, faces charges including attempted first-degree murder, felony conspiracy, obstruction of justice, possession of a weapon of mass destruction, and possession of marijuana.
Daisha Kay Bullard, 28, was charged with felony conspiracy and obstruction of justice.
The shooting occurred Saturday in the Laurel Hill community, near Morgan and Lauder Streets. Deputies responding to the scene found a man with gunshot wounds to his legs. The victim was airlifted to an undisclosed medical facility for treatment.
Through a swift investigation, deputies and detectives identified and located the suspects. Following interviews, both Locklear and Bullard were taken into custody without incident.
Both remain in the Scotland County Detention Center as the investigation continues.
