TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) — Tiffany Roberts, 35, is behind bars after a dramatic series of events on Friday morning that began with vehicle theft and ended in a police pursuit. Roberts faces multiple charges, including grand theft of an automobile, fleeing and eluding, and battery on a law enforcement officer.
The incident started just before 4:45 a.m. when Tallahassee Police responded to a vehicle theft call in the 2700 block of West Tennessee Street. Police later spotted the stolen vehicle near West Gaines Street and Lake Bradford Road, but Roberts fled when officers attempted a traffic stop.
During the pursuit, Roberts intentionally hit an uninvolved patrol car and continued fleeing. The chase led officers through several streets, including Lake Bradford Road, Springhill Road, and Capital Circle. The vehicle was eventually stopped using spike strips and the Precision Immobilization Technique near Capital Circle SE and Blair Stone Road.
Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident. Roberts was arrested and taken into custody, where she now faces serious charges.
