ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. – A Cantonment woman was arrested after deputies observed erratic driving on West Nine Mile Road.
Tiffany Ann Baisden, 59, was charged with DUI, refusal to submit to DUI testing, and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office reported that Baisden was stopped in the Kohl’s parking lot after deputies saw her driving without tag lights, accelerating and braking erratically, and drifting across lanes. Officers noted she appeared unsteady and unfocused.
Baisden performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. During a search, deputies found 10 alprazolam pills in her wallet. At the jail, she initially agreed to provide a urine sample but failed to do so in a timely manner, which was considered a refusal. She also admitted to recently snorting methamphetamine.
Baisden was later released on a $2,800 bond.
