In a swift action by the Railway Protection Force (RPF), three women were arrested for allegedly stealing money and jewelry from a female passenger at Tatanagar Railway Station. The theft occurred on January 8 when Gudiya Devi, a resident of Chaibasa Neemdih, realized that her purse had been stolen while boarding a train to Jhargram.

Following the complaint, a flying squad team from the Chakradharpur division was quickly deployed to investigate. Their efforts led to the apprehension of the suspects—Jasmine Bhaiya, Joba Sabar, and Samira Chaudhary—who were located in Jhargram and Kotshila. The stolen items, including gold and silver jewelry and Rs. 12,000 in cash, were recovered from their possession.

RPF officials have sent the three women to judicial custody, and an investigation is still ongoing to determine if there are additional victims or associates involved in the theft.
