Three women from Jalandhar have been arrested for their involvement in human trafficking and the kidnapping of a minor child for the purpose of begging. The police rescued a two-and-a-half-month-old boy from the suspects, but they have yet to identify his biological parents.
The arrested individuals have been named as Surinder Kaur (41), Darshna Devi (69), and Gurvinder Kaur, alias Gurleen (30). While Surinder Kaur and Darshna Devi were apprehended on December 12, Gurvinder Kaur was arrested today.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to locate the biological family of the child rescued from the trafficking ring.
