In a well-planned heist, three young women from Uttar Pradesh were arrested for robbing a doctor’s residence in Model Town, Delhi. The women, driven by the desire to quickly raise money for a job, orchestrated the theft after one of them secured employment as a live-in maid at the doctor’s home.
Nineteen-year-old Shilpi, posing as the maid, invited her accomplices Rajni (27), an LLB graduate and mastermind behind the crime, and Neha Samalty (25) into the house during the doctor’s absence. Together, they stole Rs30 lakh in cash and an iPhone.
Police were alerted on June 12 when the doctor reported that his previous maid, Tanveer Kaur, had allegedly stolen the valuables and fled. The complaint was filed under Section 306 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNS).
Led by Sub-Inspector Ravi Saini, the investigation involved extensive CCTV analysis and technical surveillance, leading to the swift arrest of the three accused from Meerut and Saharanpur.
