In the early hours of August 23, just after midnight, Dallas Police responded swiftly to a reported armed robbery in the Deep Ellum neighborhood near the 2600 block of Elm Street.

A 911 caller reported that her friend had been robbed at gunpoint in the area. Officers quickly located three teenage suspects—18-year-old Amari Lloyd, 17-year-old Cameron Watkins, and 17-year-old Zaccari Allen—carrying firearms, including one stolen weapon.

Upon police arrival, two suspects complied with commands, while the third fled on foot. A chase involving officers on foot and horseback led to the suspect’s quick capture.

Police recovered stolen property valued at approximately $40,000 and confiscated three firearms during the arrest.

Charges against the suspects include aggravated robbery and unlawful carrying of weapons. Lloyd also faces charges of evading arrest and detention.

All three are currently held at Dallas County Jail on bonds ranging from $103,000 to $106,000.

Dallas Police continue to investigate the incident and emphasize their commitment to community safety.
