Three More Arrested in Theft Case at Bala Bachchan’s House in Barwani

Police recover stolen gold, cash, firearms, and tools from accused

The Barwani Police on Thursday arrested three more suspects in connection with the theft at the house of former home minister and MLA from Rajpur, Bala Bachchan. This brings the total number of arrests in the case to six.

According to Barwani Superintendent of Police Jagdish Dabar, the arrested individuals are Raju alias Raj Muvel, Santosh Muvel (both residents of Umarban, Dhar district), and Pintu Rathore (a resident of Rangaon Deb, Barwani). The police seized gold jewellery, Rs. 1 lakh in cash, two pistols, a cutter, and other tools used in the theft from the accused.

The police reported that the stolen jewellery has been fully recovered, and approximately three-fourths of the stolen cash was also recovered, with the remaining money already spent by the accused.

The theft occurred at Bala Bachchan’s vacant house in Kansel, Rajpur sub-division. Earlier, the prime accused, Uday Singh alias Goldy (a resident of Segaon, Barwani), along with Manju Bai Dangar and Sanjay Malvi (both from Ujjain), had been arrested.
