PITT COUNTY, N.C. — Three men have been arrested in connection with a long-term drug investigation conducted by the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office targeting organized criminal activity.
The suspects — 33-year-old Kentrell Alston, 42-year-old Jamal Strong, and 55-year-old Darryl Fleming — were taken into custody following the operation.
Alston faces multiple felony charges, including:
Five counts of trafficking opium or heroin
Five counts of maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances
Four counts of possession with intent to sell or deliver a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a child care center
One count of possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine
Strong is charged with two counts of possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, while Fleming faces two counts each of possession with intent to sell or deliver heroin and maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances.
All three were booked into the Pitt County Jail.
Alston is being held without bond.
Strong posted a $10,000 secured bond.
Fleming remains in custody under a $40,000 bond.
Authorities say the arrests are part of ongoing efforts to dismantle organized drug operations across Pitt County.
