WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, S.C. — Three men have been arrested and charged with murder in connection to a shooting that killed one person in Williamsburg County on December 22, according to a statement from the Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office.
Micah Obadiah McClary, 22, of Greeleyville, Leonard Travis Fulton, 32, of Salters, and Trenton Ky’Veon Brown, 17, of Andrews, all face murder charges in the death of an unnamed victim. McClary has been charged with an additional count of possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Deputies were dispatched to Bamboo Loop in the Salters area on the evening of December 22, responding to reports of a shooting. Upon arriving at the scene, authorities found the victim, who had sustained a gunshot wound, and later died from the injuries.
The incident occurred on Driffin Road, where the victim was walking when he encountered a vehicle occupied by the three suspects. The confrontation escalated, resulting in the shooting. The suspects fled before deputies arrived at the scene.
Through investigation, deputies were able to identify the suspects. McClary was arrested on January 2, while Fulton and Brown were arrested on January 7. All three were booked into the Williamsburg County Detention Center on their respective charges.
Additionally, Trenton Brown is facing an attempted murder charge stemming from a separate shooting incident in Kingstree that took place in October.
