In a significant breakthrough in the Seelampur murder case, Delhi Police have apprehended three key accused, including Zikra, Sahil, and Dilshad, bringing the total number of arrests to seven so far. The case revolves around the brutal murder of a 17-year-old boy, Kunal, in the J Block area of Seelampur.
According to the police, Zikra, a woman with a notorious reputation as a “Lady Don,” was arrested in connection with the murder. During questioning, she revealed that the motive behind the crime was a revenge attack. Zikra’s cousin, Sahil, had been attacked the previous year by two boys, Lala and Shambhu, who were reportedly friends of Kunal. Although Kunal was also present during the attack, his name wasn’t included in the FIR as he was a minor. Zikra and Sahil believed that Kunal was responsible for the attack, which ultimately led to the tragic murder.
The police also have several minor suspects in custody, and the investigation is ongoing. Authorities are actively working to understand the full scope of the conspiracy and potential other individuals involved in the murder.
In response to the tragic incident, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated that justice would be served, assuring the public that the authorities are committed to resolving the case. However, Kunal’s mother expressed her frustration, stating that she had not received updates from the police and accusing the authorities of helping the culprits evade justice.
The situation has stirred political controversy, with opposition parties criticizing the BJP-led government for failing to control crime in the capital.
