Three Florence Residents Arrested in Major Drug Bust

Drug Task Force Seizes Over $30K Worth of Drugs in Lauderdale County

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – Three individuals were arrested on Tuesday after a search warrant was executed by the Lauderdale County Drug Task Force at a residence on N. Cherokee Street. The warrant was obtained based on intelligence regarding suspected drug trafficking activities at the home.

During the raid, authorities discovered 56 grams of methamphetamine, 112 grams of crack and powder cocaine, 500 fentanyl pills, 168 grams of heroin, 200 hydrocodone pills, synthetic marijuana, and a small amount of marijuana. In addition, authorities found multiple firearms and drug paraphernalia, indicating the intent to use and distribute illegal substances.

The street value of the seized drugs was estimated to exceed $30,000.

Terry King, 47, Calvin Shelby, 43, and Loren Tatum, 27, all of Florence, were arrested and charged with various drug-related offenses:

King: Charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl.
Shelby: Charged with trafficking in heroin and unlawful possession with intent to distribute.
Tatum: Charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
All three individuals are currently being held at the Lauderdale County Jail.
