Three Drug Peddlers Arrested in Sopore with 122 Grams of Charas

Police continue efforts to eradicate drug menace in the region

In a continued effort to combat the drug menace, Sopore Police have arrested three drug peddlers and recovered 122 grams of a charas-like contraband substance from their possession.

The operation took place at a checkpoint in Hamdania Colony Naidhal Rafiabad, where a police team, led by SHO Police Station Panzalla, intercepted three suspicious individuals. The arrested individuals have been identified as:

Aadil Ahmad Lone
Mohammad Shafi Sheikh
Sajad Ahmad Lone
All three are residents of Nadihal Rafiabad. During a personal search, 122 grams of charas-like substance was recovered from their possession.

Following their arrest, a case, FIR No. 06/2025, was registered at Police Station Panzalla, and further investigations are underway.

A police spokesperson has urged the public to report any suspicious activity related to drug peddling or other crimes. They can contact the nearest police station or dial 112. The authorities reaffirmed their commitment to act firmly against criminals involved in the drug trade and to ensure the safety of the community.
