Carmi, IL — Carmi Police reported three arrests over the Thanksgiving weekend involving charges ranging from retail theft to DUI and drug offenses.
Wyatt Fasig, 34, of Omaha, was arrested Wednesday evening at Wal-Mart around 9:15 p.m. Police said Fasig was wanted on a warrant for Retail Theft over $300. He was booked and released with a Notice to Appear. Fasig is scheduled to appear before Judge Webb in White County Court on January 5 at 9 a.m.
On Friday afternoon, officers stopped William Wilson, 38, of Carmi, on 3rd Street at Elm for driving without registration. During the stop, Wilson was arrested for Driving While License Suspended. Further investigation led to charges of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs, Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle, and Illegal Transportation of Alcohol by a Driver. He was detained and released on Saturday.
Early Saturday morning, just after midnight, Carmi Police stopped Alex Brock, 53, of Norris City, for improper lane usage. Following a roadside investigation, Brock was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. His vehicle was impounded by S&E Auto. Brock was released just after 1 p.m. and is due in White County Court on January 6.
