Three Arrested in Washington County for Drug Offenses and Stolen Vehicle

Kiersten Hayes, Matthew Poulos, and Kyle Mattison face multiple charges after being found in stolen vehicle

Washington County, NY — The Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested three individuals in connection with multiple drug violations following an investigation into a stolen vehicle.

The stolen vehicle was spotted in the parking lot of the Washington County Family Court, where officers discovered Kiersten M. Hayes and Matthew T. Poulos inside. During the investigation, authorities uncovered evidence linking the trio to several controlled substance offenses.

Hayes, 28, faces serious charges, including two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, and three counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree.

Kyle Mattison, 32, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in the first degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, and three counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree.

Poulos, 31, faces charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, and three counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree.

Mattison and Hayes were arraigned and released on their own recognizance, while Poulos was arraigned and held pending a future court appearance.
