Three Arrested in Stolen Vehicle Case in Naharlagun, Assam Police Help in Recovery

Naharlagun police recover stolen TATA Yodha vehicle, arrest three suspects with Assam Police's assistance.

In a significant breakthrough, Naharlagun Police successfully recovered a TATA Yodha vehicle that had been stolen from Model Village, Naharlagun, and arrested three individuals involved in the crime. The theft occurred on the night of December 6, prompting the vehicle owner to file a complaint at Naharlagun Police Station. Following the complaint, a case was registered, and immediate investigations began.

CCTV footage revealed the three suspects stealing the vehicle. Police used the footage to track the vehicle’s route and gathered additional intelligence from local sources. The investigation led them to Bangalmara in Assam, where the stolen vehicle was located.

A joint operation was launched, with Naharlagun Police working alongside Laluk Police from Assam. The team, led by Inspector K. Dev from Naharlagun and SI Milton Borgohain from Laluk Police, was able to apprehend the suspects and recover the stolen vehicle. The arrested individuals were identified as:

Md. Samirul Islam (22)
Md. Alauddin (24)
Md. Habijul Ali (27)
All three accused are from Besapati Karunabari village in Lakhimpur, Assam. The stolen vehicle was successfully secured and returned to its rightful owner.

SP Naharlagun, Mihin Gambo, praised the Assam Police’s cooperation and timely assistance, which were instrumental in the success of the operation. Investigations are ongoing as police continue to probe further details of the crime.
