Three Arrested in Kapurthala for Hussain’s Murder Case

Police recover murder weapon, probe led by senior officers

In a breakthrough in a suspected murder case, Kapurthala Police arrested three men in connection with the killing of Hussain, a native of Kala Manj village in Hoshiarpur district. The victim had been living in Chitti village, near a gas agency under the Labhra police station limits, and was found dead under suspicious circumstances on September 10.

A case was registered following a statement by Saif Ali, the victim’s brother.

Addressing a press conference, SP (Investigation) Prabhjot Singh Virk confirmed the arrests and shared details of the probe led by Deputy Police Captain (Investigation) Paraminder Singh, DSP Sheetal Singh Karn Singh, and Inspector Prabhjot Kaur, Station House Officer at Kapurthala Sadar police station.

The three arrested suspects have been identified as:

Randeep Singh alias Rama, resident of Daburji

Akubali, resident of Phulewal village

Saif Ali, resident of Ditti village (also the complainant)

Police recovered a sharp iron weapon (datar), believed to be the murder weapon. All three are currently in custody, and further interrogation is underway.

Authorities have stated that if any additional individuals are found to be involved, appropriate legal action will be taken in accordance with the law.
