Three Arrested for Transporting 908kg Ganja in India

Police seize Rs2.7 crore contraband in Odisha-Maharashtra route

Police have arrested three men while they attempted to transport 908.41 kilograms of ganja from Odisha to Maharashtra. The operation, jointly conducted by the South-East Zone Task Force and Bandlaguda Police, also recovered the transport vehicle, mobile phones, and cash, with a total estimated value of around Rs2.7 crore.

The arrested individuals have been identified as:

Mohammed Kaleem Uddin (32) – heavy vehicle driver from Golconda

Shaik Sohail (23) – air-conditioning technician from Amberpet

Mohammed Afzal (25) – appliance repair technician from Amberpet

Authorities have registered a case under relevant narcotics laws and are investigating further connections in the trafficking network.
