CLARKESVILLE, GA — The Clarkesville Police Department announced the arrest of three women involved in a violent theft and assault at the Clarkesville Package Store on Saturday, March 29, 2025. The suspects—Amiah Unique Lovett, 17, of Ruskin, FL; Ja’Naysia Nichelle Joyce Anderson, 18, of St. Petersburg, FL; and Jade Kinsley Stewart, 19, also of St. Petersburg, FL—face multiple charges, including aggravated assault, burglary, felony shoplifting, and robbery with force.
The incident occurred around 6 p.m. when the three women entered the store wearing medical scrubs and facemasks. While inside, they stole several bottles of alcohol. As they attempted to flee the scene, one of the women physically assaulted a store clerk by kicking him and striking him in the head with a bag containing a stolen bottle. At the same time, another suspect swerved a black Nissan Versa toward the clerk in the parking lot before they all fled in the vehicle.
Store employees were able to provide authorities with descriptions and the vehicle’s tag number, leading to a traffic stop by a Habersham County Sheriff’s Deputy near the Tom Arrendale Interchange. The suspects were detained, and the vehicle was impounded for further investigation. A search of the car revealed a significant amount of stolen alcohol, along with illegal narcotics.
The investigation indicates that the suspects may be connected to a series of thefts in the region, including Baldwin and Toccoa. Additional charges have been filed by the City of Baldwin and the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office. The investigation remains ongoing, and more information will be released as it becomes available.
