Three Arrested for Stealing Rs2 Lakh from Sirkazhi Temple

Three individuals were arrested for breaking into the Abathu Vinayagar Temple near the southern gopuram of the Sattanathar Swamy Temple in Sirkazhi, stealing Rs2 lakh from the temple hundial.

The suspects, including two brothers, Kolanji (42) and Muthu (35), both residents of Ayyanar Kovil Street, broke a silver gate to enter the temple late at night. The theft was discovered when a patrol team, led by Special Sub-Inspector Shanmugasundaram and Head Constable Stalin, noticed the broken door. While one suspect fled, Kolanji and Muthu were apprehended.

The police have taken both into custody, and further investigations are underway.
