SAN MARCOS, Texas — Three men were arrested last Friday in connection with a violent robbery at Royal Jewelers in San Marcos on April 25, where over 100 pieces of jewelry were stolen.
On the day of the robbery, two masked men armed with hammers entered the store, forced the clerk to the ground, smashed display cases, and fled with the stolen goods. They initially escaped in a stolen Ford Fusion with a fake temporary tag before switching to a white Dodge Durango.
The suspects—28-year-old Marcus Javae Williams, 27-year-old Montah Jabriel Franklin, and 31-year-old Telvine Jabber Daw, all from San Antonio—were apprehended in coordinated operations across San Antonio and Austin.
They face first-degree felony charges including aggravated robbery and engaging in organized criminal activity related to the April heist. Franklin and Daw also face additional drug and firearm-related charges linked to offenses committed on June 13.
Williams is held on a $500,000 bond, Franklin on a $1,280,000 bond, and Daw on a $900,000 bond at Hays County Jail.
The arrests were made possible by surveillance footage, license plate reader technology, and dedicated detective work by San Marcos police.
