In a swift police operation, three individuals were arrested on Thursday in connection with a robbery that occurred on November 24 in Erode district. The suspects, Dhanush (21), Mahaprabhu (21) of Dindigul, and Dhandapani alias Ashok (27) from Chennimalai, were caught by Chennimalai police after being questioned during a vehicle check. Upon interrogation, the trio confessed to robbing an elderly woman of her imitation jewellery at Mukasipidariyur in Chennimalai.

The police seized their two-wheeler and registered a case against them. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to recover the stolen items.

In a separate incident at Thindal Sengodampalayam, Erode North police detained a man found acting suspiciously inside an ATM center early on Thursday morning. A cab driver noticed the suspect holding a small cylinder inside the ATM, leading to a quick citizen intervention. With the help of others, the driver detained the man and alerted the police. Thankfully, no damage was done to the ATM machine, and the suspect was taken in for questioning.
