MARSHALL COUNTY, W.Va. – Thomas Lashare, a 35-year-old man from Moundsville, was arrested on drug trafficking charges after an investigation led to the discovery of fentanyl and Buprenorphine Hydrochloride at his campsite.

Details of the Arrest
On Tuesday, authorities from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office arrived at a camping trailer on Big Grave Creek Road to execute an arrest warrant for Brian Kestner. Upon arrival, deputies spoke to a woman inside the trailer, who falsely claimed that Kestner wasn’t present. Deputies were granted permission to search the trailer, where they discovered a male who initially provided a false name.

The individual was later identified as Thomas Lashare, who continued to lie about his identity. He was arrested for obstruction of justice.

Drug Seizure
During the arrest, deputies found Buprenorphine Hydrochloride, a Schedule III drug, in Lashare’s possession. After the discovery, the Marshall County Drug Task Force was alerted, and a search warrant was issued for the trailer. Authorities recovered fentanyl in stamp bags and found a stolen vehicle license plate.

The camping trailer was seized, and Lashare remains at the Northern Regional Jail pending arraignment.
