PARK CITY, Ky. — Thomas J. Orlando, 39, of Glasgow, was arrested Thursday night after a woman was found shot and killed at a residence in Park City, Kentucky.
Kentucky State Police were called shortly before 10 p.m. to assist with a death investigation at a home on E. Third Street, where the woman was discovered with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim’s name has not been released.
Orlando, who is the woman’s boyfriend, was identified as a suspect and fled the scene in a 2019 GMC Terrain SUV. Police later found him at Union No. 2 Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in the Eighty Eight community and arrested him.
According to the arrest citation, Orlando was found in possession of a firearm matching the one used in the shooting and reportedly admitted responsibility for the woman’s death to a third party.
Two children were inside the home at the time of the shooting.
Orlando faces charges of murder (domestic violence) and two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment. He was booked into the Barren County Corrections Center, where no bond had been set as of Friday morning.
