Central Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths in Mangaluru have arrested two individuals and seized a significant quantity of drugs, including hydroweed cannabis, cannabis, and charas, with an estimated value of Rs8 lakh.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Thaizeer Ismail Hussain, aged 23, from Pandeshwar in Mangaluru, and Royston Xavier Lobo, also 23, from Shivabagh in Mangaluru. The police action followed intelligence-based surveillance, leading to the successful seizure of the drugs.
The authorities are continuing their investigation into the source and distribution network of the drugs, with both accused now facing charges under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
