Terry Lee McConneaughey, 50, of Lincolnton, was arrested on July 15 by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Officers and faces multiple serious drug charges. He is accused of trafficking methamphetamine by possession and transport, possession with intent to sell fentanyl, crack cocaine, oxycodone, and maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit carried out a surveillance operation that culminated in a traffic stop of McConneaughey, who was identified as a known drug dealer. During the stop, narcotics investigators confiscated 36 grams of methamphetamine, fentanyl, crack cocaine, oxycodone, and over $500 in cash.

McConneaughey was taken into custody and transported to the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center, where he is held without bond due to pending drug charges issued earlier this year by the Lincoln County Narcotics Unit.

On the new charges, he was assigned a $1,000,000 bond and had his first court appearance on July 16.
