JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — A Jefferson City man is facing serious drug charges after allegedly attempting to discard fentanyl during a police raid at his home.
Terrian Deshawn Davis was charged with Second Degree Drug Trafficking after officers with the Jefferson City Police Department observed him throwing a bag of drugs out of his bedroom window while executing a search warrant at his State Street residence on Wednesday, Jan. 29.
According to court documents, a witness saw Davis drop the bag, which was later recovered and found to contain two grams of fentanyl. Davis also reportedly tried to escape through the same window but was apprehended in the front yard by officers.
He was booked into the Cole County Jail, where he is currently being held without bond.
Authorities have not yet released further details about the investigation or whether additional charges may be filed.
