HENRY COUNTY, Va. — A traffic stop on Virginia Avenue led to the arrest of 26-year-old Terri Lynn Warren of Caswell, North Carolina, after deputies discovered narcotics and a handgun in her vehicle.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office initiated the stop after noticing the car had possible fabricated tags with four people inside. Upon investigation, deputies found inconsistencies in the statements from the driver and passengers.
Working alongside Martinsville Police and their K-9 unit, deputies conducted a search after the K-9 alerted to the presence of narcotics. The search revealed a handgun, suspected pre-packaged methamphetamine, five varieties of pressed pills, assorted powders, and items consistent with drug distribution.
Warren faces multiple charges including:
Possession with intent to distribute a Schedule I/II substance (Virginia Code § 18.2-248)
Possession of a firearm while in possession of a Schedule I/II substance (Virginia Code § 18.2-308.4)
Possession of a concealed weapon (Virginia Code § 18.2-308)
She is currently held without bond at the Henry County Detention Center.
