Marcus Franklin faces multiple felony charges after a roadside search.
A 40-year-old man from Memphis, Tennessee, was arrested Sunday evening in Hopkins County following a traffic stop by Sulphur Springs Police. The man, identified as Marcus Cortez Franklin, was found with suspected heroin and Xanax during a routine stop in his black Lexus sedan.
Officers observed suspicious behavior and requested Franklin exit the vehicle. After a search of his person and the vehicle, authorities discovered a glass container containing multiple white rectangular pills, believed to be Xanax (Alprazolam), along with a bag of brown powder suspected to be heroin. The heroin weighed approximately 160.5 grams.
Franklin was arrested without incident and transported to the Hopkins County Jail. He now faces charges of:

Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon – Misdemeanor A
No bond information has been released, and the case remains under investigation by local authorities.
