The Special Task Force of Telangana’s Excise and Prohibition Department seized drug-laced kulfi ice creams, barfi sweets, and silver-coated balls during Holi celebrations in Dhoolpet on Friday.

Acting on information about the sale of drugs, the Task Force raided the Machlipura area in Dhoolpet and found 100 kulfi ice creams, 72 barfi sweets, and silver-coated balls being sold by Satyanarayana Singh, a local vendor. According to the Excise department, the contraband was reportedly brought from Gujarat to Hyderabad for distribution during the Holi festival.

Satyanarayana Singh was arrested, and a case was registered against him. Excise Officer Anji Reddy issued a stern warning, emphasizing that strict action would be taken against anyone involved in the buying or selling of drugs, regardless of the occasion. He also urged the youth to stay away from drugs, especially during festive times.
