CHICAGO, IL – Three people from Chicago have been charged with felony retail theft after over $10,000 worth of merchandise was recovered from a vehicle tied to multiple store thefts across the city and suburban Cook County.
According to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office, the arrests stem from a July 21 investigation after two women were seen stealing from an Alo store in Skokie. They reportedly fled in a black Chevrolet without license plates.
Later that day, deputies spotted a vehicle matching the description in Chicago’s Auburn Gresham neighborhood. During the stop, officers found multiple bags containing Lululemon and Alo merchandise, with security tags still attached.
The vehicle’s occupants were identified as:
Tekiah White, 20
Breauna Martin, 22
Tyshun Williams, 22 (driver)
All three were taken into custody.
Further investigation linked White and Martin to previous retail thefts at Ulta stores in Chicago and River Forest. Authorities also say White and Williams were involved in earlier thefts at the Lululemon store on Rush Street in downtown Chicago.
White and Martin now each face three counts of felony retail theft, while Williams faces one count. Despite the seriousness of the charges, all three were released after their initial court appearances under current pretrial release policies.
