LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) — New details have emerged in a violent kidnapping and cryptocurrency theft involving three teenagers in Las Vegas late last year.

According to Las Vegas Metro Police, the suspects—Belaf Mohamed Ashraf, Austin Jay Fletcher, and Hassan Elsama Hassan—are accused of kidnapping a man at gunpoint after he returned home from hosting a crypto event in downtown Las Vegas.

The suspects allegedly forced the victim to hand over his crypto wallet passwords, ultimately stealing $4 million in cryptocurrency and NFTs.

Authorities say the teens drove the victim to a remote desert location in Arizona, approximately 26 miles from the Nevada border, where they abandoned him.

The victim managed to walk five miles to a gas station and contacted police. Investigators quickly tracked down the suspects, who were later arrested and are now being tried as adults due to the severity of the charges.

The case highlights growing concerns over crypto-related crimes, particularly those involving physical violence.
