BOSSIER CITY, La. — A teacher and cross-country coach at Airline High School has been arrested for alleged indecent behavior involving a juvenile, the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
Evan Michael Sevin-Chauvin, 30, was taken into custody on April 17 and charged with indecent behavior with a juvenile. He is currently being held at the Bossier Parish Maximum Facility with bond set at $150,000.
Sevin-Chauvin was listed as the Cross Country Coach under the Louisiana High School Athletics Association (LHSAA) as of 2024.
School officials say they immediately contacted law enforcement after learning about the allegations. Bossier Parish Schools released a statement expressing their concern and confirmed Sevin-Chauvin is no longer employed by the district.
“We are greatly disturbed by the nature of the charges brought against this former educator and are cooperating with law enforcement to the fullest extent,” the district said.
The statement also noted that no students were believed to have been involved or to have witnessed the alleged behavior.
The investigation is ongoing, and no further details have been released at this time.
