WINTER HAVEN, FL — A late-night patrol at a closed boat ramp led to the arrest of a Winter Haven woman wanted on multiple felony charges related to fraud and identity theft.

Around 11:08 p.m. Monday, a Deputy Sheriff Cadet with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) encountered a woman at the Lake Sears Boat Ramp, which is closed to the public between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.

The woman was identified as Taylor Nicole Watson, 30, of Winter Haven. A check of her ID revealed an active felony warrant tied to a broader investigation by PCSO.

Watson is facing multiple charges, including:

Conspiracy to Commit Fraud

Fraudulent Use of Credit Cards

Criminal Use of Personal Identification

Unlawful Possession of Personal IDs

Petit Theft

The charges stem from an investigation into a scheme involving stolen credit cards and personal identification, reported by a victim on August 11.

Watson was arrested without incident and transported to the Polk County Jail to face the charges.
